WE"RE BACK

We are back from our summer vacation. We came home to a broken water heater, a broken backyard fence, and a broken trampoline. So we got right back into the thick of things. For any of you who don't know our water heater broke and started flooding the laundry room about 2 hours before we we're scheduled to leave town w/family. So my dad helped me turn off the gas and water and drain the water heater. While we were gone our trampoline blew into our fence and damaged several large sections. It blew into our fence, up over our neighbors house and landed in the tree in the Clark's front yard. Sorry neighbors. Thanks for taking our trampoline back to our yard. So now we have a new water heater. Most of the fence fixed and the trampoline back together. I'm still catching up on laundry though because our hot water heater is in our laundry room and it wasn't totally installed until yesterday. Vacation was nice and relaxing. Except for the huge mosquitos!! The girls did crafts and fished and played w/ Tyler. They had a great time. Macie asked if we could move the cabin to our house. She didn't want to leave. It was fun to spend time w/Kent, Kevin, Clark, and Gary and Carol. Thanks for a nice get away. While on our trip Kirk and I celebrated our 12th anniversary. Actually we haven't celebrated yet. Thanks for 12 amazing years Kirk! Time has gone so quickly. Last night was our last softball game. Our tourney starts Monday. Briley did an awesome job pitching last night. It's great to be home and back w/friends!! We love you all.

OK We're Really Leaving

I just had to post Jo-Jo's garden before we left town. It was such a special afternoon. Ok we are really leaving now. We'll be back for Father's Day. We love you all!!

Jo-Jo's Garden

Grandma Jo-Jo lets us garden w/ her at her house
Her soil grows the best tomatoes Thanks Jo-Jo

Three generations planted these beautiful tomatoes

We all did our part to help them get a great start

Everyone worked and laughed together. We began a tradition last year of planting tomatoes w/Jo-Jo. Our family gets together w/her and we have a little planting party in the late spring. We grow the yummiest tomatoes. I think it's all of the love that goes into the planting.

Hitting the Road

Hi friends and family. We are heading out tomorrow at lunch time for our annual Minnesota fishing trip. We will be gone for about 9 days. No phone ringing, no emails to check, no obligations or responsibilities. Yeah!!!!! Until then no new updates.

Feeling Better

After being sick for several days I'm finally feeling back to normal. Today was such a beautifull Sunday. The priesthood had their meeting in Lafayette and then we had sacrament here at 1:oo. It was a great testimony meeting. It was a good opportunity to re-commit ourselves to missionary work as we said good bye to Aubrey. She will be such an awesome Sister missionary. Good Luck in Florida Aubrey. This evening after the rain cleared, and the cool breeze stuck around, we enjoyed a family walk around the neighborhood. Well, I guess it was our neighborhood family walk. We made a few laps w/ Clarks, Prices, and Joel. What a beautiful evening to spend w/ great friends. I love this time of year. All of the neighbors come out and walk and work in their yards. It's great to reconnect w/everyone. We will miss Joel and Megan. Their new house looks like it will be awesome. Maybe we can come make some laps around their new hood.
