We have had a fun and eventful 2010. Here are some of the highlights.
Briley turned 12 this year and entered YW's. Kirk and I were blessed to go to the temple with her for the 1st time to do baptisms. She is really loving YW's and has already completed several personal progress goals. She played on the Northridge basketball team and tennis team. She was an oompa-loompa in the Willy Wonka musical. She tried out and got a solo in the choir Christmas program. We love her and are very proud of the beautiful young woman she is becoming.
Hadyn turned 10 this year. She was on her school's spell bowl team that placed 2nd in their division. She also received a solo in her school Christmas program. She is still very involved with arts and crafts and one of her pictures was displayed in the downtown C-ville art show. She played soccer this year. To our surprise she was an agressive player that tried to go in and get the job done. We love her sweet spirit and are glad she's in our family.
Macie turned 6 this year and started Kindergarten. She is reading and writing and loving school. She also played soccer this year. She had a great time. She likes to socialize with the other players while she runs up and down the field. She is constantly keeping us on our toes with her quick wit. She has a great sense of humor and is an all around cutie. We love her sweet little face and adorable personality.
Kirk is still employed at Rea Magnet Wire. He LOVES his job!! Which is wonderful. He traveled to Mexico for work a couple of times this year. He is still teaching sunday school at church and repairing anything broken that comes his way. We love his big hugs and laughter.
I am now an empty nester...all of my girls are in school full time. It was definitely a change for me. I have been babysitting a friend's 2 yr. old daughter and substitute teaching. I really love teaching at the girl's school. It's so great to be on the same schedule as them. I am still serving as RS pres. which keeps me pretty busy too.
Our family was definitely blessed in 2010. We had some really fun summer vacations with family and friends and are grateful for each of our many blessings. We are grateful for the gospel and the strength it gives us as we strive to raise righteous daughters and attain our goal of an eternal happy family.
May all of you enjoy a beautiful holiday season and a wonderful 2011. Love to all of our family and friends.
